Living A FUNtastic Life (Part 48)

by Patrick Liew on December 1, 2011

If you have been following my reflections, you would have realized that I shared a lot about my past.

Every one of us has a past; experiences that we can never change and we have a choice to decide if we want to struggle in our memories of the past or to soar as a result of it.

I believe if I am not at peace with the past, I will never be at peace with the present and the future.

Hence, I search into the deep recesses of my minds to recall even the darkest experiences – the hurts, the scars, and the disappointments.

That’s when I realized they are not random dots. They were placed there for a reason, purpose and significance.

When I discovered their meanings in my life, I can connect the dots to inspire me to live a FUNtastic life – now and into the future.

Along the way, I realized I should not only accept my past, but also be contented with it. I can be grateful and thankful for it.

When that happened, I feel a sense of serenity and even pride and joy for it. The past becomes a launching pad for me to live life to the fullest and propel me to an awesome future.

The past became a working tool for life.

Go4It!

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.

Think: How can we learn to appreciate our past and leverage on it to live a great life?
