Appreciating The Past

by Patrick Liew on June 16, 2011

I spent a lunchtime listening to somebody reminiscing about his past.

He had a very interesting life, one that took him to the peak of success and the trough of failure.

At the end of the discussion, I asked him, “How do you feel now?”

“Well, that’s life,” was his short reply.

While I cannot change my past, I can change my perspective about it. I can draw valuable lessons and be thankful and grateful for it.

I want to accept my past and be at peace with it.

I will not allow any contempt of the past to condemn my future.

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

BTW, I have also recorded other reflections on my fb, under Notes. Please read them and continue to teach me.

Life is FUNtastic!

Question: How can we appreciate and be thankful for our past?
