Cleanliness Should Be A Way Of Life.
Cleanliness should be practiced at home or in whatever places we love as well as in all other places.
If we don’t help to keep the places around us clean, it is unlikely we will be more motivated to keep our minds and spirits clean too.
Is it any wonder why they say that cleanliness is next to godliness?
When we keep public places, including food and beverage outlets clean, it’ll not only enhance the ambience but it will also help us enjoy our meals.
If rubbish and leftover food are not cleared, it will attract houseflies, birds, rodents, and other animals.
The unhygienic condition will cause more diseases, and affect our health and the health of the people around us.
Our example can also inspire our children and others to do their part for the environment too.
On a bigger scale, by doing our part, we can also help cleaners improve their productivity and keep running costs low.
In that way, employers are in a better position to pay a higher salary to their cleaners.
In addition, by upkeeping Singapore’s image as a clean and green nation, it can attract more tourists and investments.
Mahatma Gandhi was quoted to have said, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.”
In a similar way, we should never walk through a place and leave it worse off than when we first step into it.
Cleanliness is definitely the way to go.
The discipline of cleanliness will help Singapore and all of us cultivate a better quality of life.
Living an educated, gracious and cultured life includes how we clear up the rubbish in and around our lives.
I hope this message will find a place in your heart.
