‘Digitising’ Love

Recently, I gave a talk to a group of technologists.

Obviously, they were keen on the ‘bits and bytes’ of technology.

During the talk, I wanted to put technology into proper perspective. Technology should be used to serve us and not the other way around.

Technology should help us live a better life and make our world a better home.

Subsequently, the leader was kind enough to send me a ‘Thank You’ note. My response to him was as follow:

The ‘bits n bytes’ we laud about in the post-information age is not the panacea for the struggles of the heart, nor the woes of society.

It is not the solution – but the means to develop the solution.

Prayerfully, we will reignite the love in our soul and set it ablaze right though the pipes of technology.

Then, we may realize we should have done it in the first place because that’s what the world really need – Love.develop the solution.
