When I was young, I had a neighbor who stayed opposite my house.
Actually the house is more like a big room that was connected with other rooms in a single-storey building. It was what many would call a poor living condition.
The owners of the room-house worked in a sewage station in the vicinity. You could easily guess it was not a job that was respected or well-thought-of.
To make matters worse, the couple had six children, all living in the same room.
They have few possessions and lived a spartan lifestyle.
What amazed me was that they were a happy family. There were hardly any quarrel, and in fact, I only remember them having a good time.
That memory kept me thinking about how to enjoy life. What can be done to have a series of positive emotions and fulfilling experiences so as to live an abundant life.
I want to live my life such that it is literally overflowing with all the goodness of life.
I realized our Creator has given us the tools to initiate great experiences, repeat them, and even improve upon them. These tools are within our capacity, capability, and learning ability.
Being grateful; praising and thanking our Creator and friends for our lives; performing acts of kindness; having a positive outlook in life; living healthily; coping with worries, stress and anxieties; having friends; forgiving our trespassers; enjoying every moment; living for a higher purpose…
These simple actions can give us a boost of positive emotions and fulfilling experiences.
When I practice them constantly and turn them into a habit, I can live a FUNtastic life.

Question: How can we be contented and grateful for whatever blessings we have?
