I was part of a sizable committee that crafted the report, “Sustainable Employment – Achieving Purposeful Business Success Together”.

This report seeks to contribute to building a vibrant economy, supported by an inclusive workforce.

It’s also about looking after those who fall between the gaps and the disadvantaged.

And just as importantly, to ensure that our people can leverage on opportunities in the future and not be disrupted by the fast-changing working world.

Unlike other plans, this is a ground up (not government-driven) initiative, and it has the support of major employers and business leaders.

There’s also a written pledge to encourage stakeholders to turn aspirations into a reality.

A programme office has been set up to look into implementing the proposed recommendations.
