Touching Moments

I had lunch at a foodcourt and took a seat near an elderly man.

I gave him a friendly smile.

He gave me a blank look.

A few minutes later, a lady came and sat beside him. She paid close attention to him and offered heartwarming care and concern.

I complimented her, “You did a good job looking after him.”

Her response was, “He’s suffering from dementia. I look after his every need.

“I even have to help him with his daily shower.”

I had to tell her, “That’s very kind of you.”

Her response melted my heart.

“It’s nothing. He’s my father.”

When she said those words, I felt the essence of her love.

That moment will always be frozen in my mind.
