On June 1, 2011, we had dinner at an Italian Restaurant. We were served by Ben who was from Lyon, France.
Ben greeted us at the door with a big smile. He did not show us to a table, he showed us around and let us choose the table we wanted.
Subsequently, we realized we made the wrong choice.
Ben allowed us to move to another table. He transferred our food and cutlery over – doing it all the time with a warm smile.
As we were new to the restaurant, Ben helped us with the choice of the food. He gave us a description of each item to make sure it would go down well with our taste buds.
As we were torn over the choices, he asked the cook to prepare the food in entree sizes. We could then savor a wider variety of food at a lower price.
Ben did everything possible to make the evening an enjoyable one. Even though the food was not as good as we expected, his service turned the experience into a pleasant memory.
When I reflected over the event, I am thankful that Ben showed me what I should do as a human – create memorable experiences.
My job is to create good memories for my family, friends, colleagues and clients. I should also do it for whoever crosses my path in life.
I hope this message will find a place in your heart.
Life is FUNtastic!
Question: How can we create beautiful memories for our loved ones?
