I have a hilarious relationship with the Geographical Positioning System (GPS) system in my car. I quarreled with it all the time, especially when my kids were in the car.
As the GPS was part of the first generation of such systems, it did not have the most current map and latest information. As a result, I would sometimes be lost in the middle of nowhere.
At other times, I would literally be taken for a long ride.
Every time, it happened, I would start to argue and quarrel with my GPS. My kids and I would have a good laugh over it.
You could imagine the hilarity of a 200-year old quarrelling with an inanimate object. It was one argument I always won. Ha!
The GPS – like any other computerized system – runs on a simple formula.
It’s called G.I.G.O.
If I put garbage in, I will get garbage out. However, if I put good stuff in, I will get good stuff out.
My brain is in some ways like any programmable system.
What I input into my mind will determine the output in my life.
Information can go into my mind in five different ways – sight, sound, taste, smell and feeling.
I’m very mindful about what I feed into my mind on a constant basis.
I have a personal belief. If I don’t control the inputs in my mind, negative information will find a way to get into it.
Negative abhors a mental vacuum.
Therefore, I practice what I call ‘force feeding’.
I carefully choose positive things to see and I will think positively about it. The same goes for the other four senses.
For example, I will carry a positive book with me all the time. I also have such books in my house, car and office.
When I have any free time, I will read them and saturate my mind with positive information.
I will also make it a point to reflect positively on my thoughts. In addition, I will craft my learning experience and if necessary, the action that I need to take to improve myself.
Start changing your inputs so as to achieve better outputs.
Go4It!
I hope this message will find a place in your heart.
By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.

Question:  How can we ‘force feed’ ourselves with only positive information?
