I have gone through many near death experiences.
I have almost died at sea… been shot in the army… been eaten alive in the jungle… lost my life in a kidnap… been killed in traffic accidents… been beaten to death…
It’s good to go through a life-death experience.
After every experience, I learn to be grateful for and to value my life.
I’m mindful that today could be the last day of my life. I should cherish it.
I want to live every moment as if it is the first and last moment. I endeavor to be mindful of every moment and make it the best moment.
I want to live every moment to the fullest and enjoy it while it lasts.
If the experience of time, as Albert Einstein might put it, is relative. Then, I want to see how can I stretch time by maximizing its enjoyment.
I want to prolong the pleasure of the moment and savour it to the greatest intensity.
What’s more, I aim to accentuate and sustain the FUNtastic experience by anchoring them in my memory.
It is sad to note that, in the past, I have allowed many of these valued moments to pass me by. I have not lived through it because I was too preoccupied with the baggages of the past and burdens of the future.
I have consciously and unconsciously lived in the past or for tomorrow.
Like one famous Chinese song goes, I just wish that ‘明天会更好’ – tomorrow will be better but I let today go to waste.
Over the years, I have discovered that when I learned to value and enjoy every moment of my life, I learned to love our Creator and love myself at the same time.
I became more aware of the love, joy and peace that He has planted in my heart.
I carried less of negative emotions, including destructive emotions.
I became more inclined to do well and do good at the same time, all the time.
I learned to live life at its best – moment by moment.
Go4It!
