Part 9 – Happy Teachers Day – 5 September 2014 (Friday)

by Patrick Liew on September 5, 2014

Teachers hold the key to our future. They are invisible hands that mould and shape society.

They are pillars of the nation-building process because they help to influence the next generation to become moral, responsible, and productive members of our community.

Their daily work in the classroom will impact the well being of society and success of the economy.

Teachers are at the frontline of education and play a major part in shaping values, knowledge and skills of the students.

They  impact them at a time when they are most susceptible to influence.

They equip the students so that they can grow up to fulfill their dreams, passion, and goals.

They bring out potential of the student and ignite their worth and contribution.

Some of the students will also become key leaders of the community.

They are gatekeepers, opening doors to opportunities and possibilities that are beyond the foreseeable horizon.

They trigger visions, develop building blocks, and catalyze action to build the world to come.

They are crucibles that forge the strength, achievements, and growth of society.

They are major equalizers in life.

They help to transfer  knowledge and skills, and model the right conduct so that students can learn and have equal opportunities to succeed. These students can also have multiple pathways to achieve their dream.

Teachers are builders of human lives and architect of the future.

Their contribution ensure survival and sustainability of our world.

They are co-authors in crafting life stories and the history of humanity.

To all the teachers out there, thank you. Have a wonderful Teachers Day!
