Real Life Inspiration: Jeremy Lim – A Living Inspiration.

I have met some amazing people in my life.

One of them is Jeremy Lim.

Jeremy was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta or brittle bone disease, a congenital bone disorder which affects one in some 20,000 births.

As a result, he suffered from regular fractures when he was young and that left him wheelchair-bound throughout his life.

Yet, he had a zest for living and a sense of optimism that’s inspirational to many who know him.

One of his values is, “nothing can change what happens to you but you can change how you react to an incident”.

He attribute his parents for teaching him “to look at the bright side of life because if you look on the bright side, there will not be a dark shadow in sight”.

Despite his physical challenges, Jeremy pressed on to achieve many of his dreams and also devoted time to help those who are less fortunate.
He became a young ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation’s children’s medical fund from 2001 – 2005.

As part of his volunteer work, he gave speeches, collect donations, and reach out to those who need help.

Jeremy wrote and published his autobiography, “Beyond Bone Breaking” to inspire others to do well in life.

He also graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Studies.

Jeremy’s life story is truly an inspiration for all of us.
