Happy World Mental Health Day (10 to 13 October 2019)

by Patrick Liew on October 13, 2019

We need to educate our friends and the public that mental illness, including depression is NOT a personality disorder or a character defect.

It is a health issue that can sometimes take over rational decision-making process.

And drive victims through undue physical and emotional stresses and consequences.

The voices within victims are not their voices.

Spiraling downward emotionally is not their destiny.

Mental illness can be overcome.

Don’t take mental illness lightly or see it as a stigma.

Help vulnerable people around you seek treatment as soon as possible before the mental illness gets out of hands.
