Living A FUNtastic Life (Part 32)

by Patrick Liew on September 13, 2011

My reservist officers would gather together regularly. We have been doing it for the past 30 years.

Every time we meet, we would update each other about the changes in our lives. We spent a lot of time reminiscing about the great times we had.

Funny enough, we would repeat almost the same stories and we would still have a good laugh.

At the end of the evening, we would go home happier and looking forward to the next gathering.

Great memories improve my happiness quotient.

By recalling them and sharing about them with others, it will enhance my FUNtastic life.

Every time, I share about the great experiences, I will strengthen my neural pathways to remember and anchor the memories and the positive emotions.

It sustains and strengthens my emotional muscles.

I have found many ways to remember the details of FUNtastic experiences, especially the positive emotions that I have enjoyed.

It can be about anything – no matter how small and insignificant the experience is.

Watching my daughter going to school for the first time, enjoying a good meal, having a good time with a friend…

I will endeavor to record them, replay them in my mind, post them on my blogs and facebook, share them with others, and talk about it during my speeches and discussions.

The more I can recall these experiences, the happier I become. It will enhance my FUNtastic life.

Go4It!

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.
