I am a daydreamer.
I can transport myself to another period of my life – at any time and in any place.
I used to wonder if I should feel guilty about such a practice.
It was much later when I realized that there are a lot of virtues in being able to recall the past and live through the experiences mentally.
I have over the years, surrounded myself with letters, drawings, photographs, books, music, articles, journals, souvenirs, commemorative publications, gifts, mementos, and other aide-me moiré to help me reminisce about the great times in my life.
I have many good friends that will be more than happy to share my past experiences in my life.
As I take myself on the journey to the past, I find peace, joy, and a sense of fulfillment. They give me a healthier sense of my identity and self-esteem.
The more I explore the past, the better I understand myself. I learn to appreciate my God-given uniqueness, gifts, and talents.
Some of the great moments in my life can still make me smile and even laugh aloud.
They give me immense happiness and pleasure.
When I return back to the present, I feel more committed and confident to enjoy my life and to make full use of it. I can better appreciate and value what I have in my life.
Memories are treasure coves that nobody can steal from me.
They drive me from a beautiful past, make a masterpiece out of the present and to live out a glorious future.
I’m grateful for memories.
