I spoke at a Global Forum with many distinguished speakers. One of them, Deborah Chew impressed me for her initiative in starting Project Happy Feet.
This is a non-profit organisation to empower under privileged youth and children in developing countries.
Deborah started her talk by asking the audience, “How many of you are young?â€
She went on to give her opinion about what it means to be young – to have freshness and vigour.
Freshness to her means having “new, recent, bright, novel, current, and advanced ideasâ€.
Vigour means having “energy, determination, strength, resilience, vitality and livelinessâ€
To her, “Age is but a number!â€
In other words, if we embrace and live out these qualities, we can be young forever.
I believe I am not old when I have nothing to learn, enjoy, achieve, and look forward to.
When I have nothing to learn, enjoy, achieve, and look forward to – I am old.
Go4It!
