The Top 10 Highlights Of My Life In 2013 (Not in order of priority).

by Patrick Liew on December 6, 2013

I thank our Creator for another meaningful, exciting and fulfilling year.

In 2013, I met many great people. There were also awesome events, and wonderful experiences.

It took me awhile to choose the Top 10 Highlights for the year.

Here they are:

1. On May 15, 2013, I stepped down as the Executive Chairman and CEO of HSR Global Ltd, a public-listed company on SGX-ST.

My successor has been kind enough to retain me as a Special Adviser to help in the transition period and provide other services.

I believe I have found a suitable person to take over leadership of the company. I pray that HSR will continue to grow from strength to strength.

2. I have always taught my students to dream BIG dream. Here’s my new goal:

To help generate more financial donations to a good cause than Mr Bill Gates.

The plan is simple.

I will endeavor to inspire selected people to earn more than $10,000,000 so that they will give away at least $1000,000.

I’m excited about my goal. It has given me a new leash of passion, energy, and massive action.

3. I have conducted more than 60 training, mentorship, and coaching programmes on a pro bono basis.

The purpose is to inspire community leaders, students, and other participants to achieve greater success in their life.

4. As Chairman of Junior Achievement, a charity that conducts life skills training for students, I’m happy that by the end of December, we would have trained over 53,000 students in Singapore with over 4,000 volunteers.

5. I have led a team of more than 260 talented and committed grassroots volunteers to provide a wide range of services to about 25,000 residents.

6. I continued to improve my writing skills through blogging, posting on social media, and writing to the press.

In total, I have crafted more than 1000 organic, calories-free, hypoallergenic, contaminants-free, all-natural, and totally inspirational love notes.

7. I have attended more than ten traditional and online  educational programmes to help me learn, improve, and achieve better results.

8. I have provided leadership and advisory services to charities, a national sports association, a family service centre, professional bodies, a government-appointed committee, and non-government organisations.

These involvements have enriched my life. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be of service to society.

9. I have helped to raise more than $700,000 to fund different charity projects.

10. I have watched my ‘baby,’ Success Resources extend its educational services from Asia, Australasia, Europe, to North America. It is publicly-listed on ASX and is probably the largest personal development seminar organiser in the world.

I’m grateful and thankful for my family and life. I’m enjoying every single moment.

In 2014, please continue to teach me. Help me to live by one of my beliefs:

The best way to live my life is to live my life for others. The more I reach out to bless others, the richer and better my life will become.

By the love and grace of our Creator, I plan to make 2014 the best year ever in my life.
