1. Happy Teachers’ Day – Friday, 6 September 2019 – Be Grateful To Teachers

The Chinese has a saying, 一日为师，终生为父.

What it means is that “Once you are my teacher, I owe you a debt of gratefulness every day of my life.

I am grateful to you just as I am grateful to my parents throughout my life.”

Teachers holds one of the most important keys to shape our destiny.

They gave us a foundation to make a living and to live well.

For example, if you can read this Love Note, you have to be thankful to teachers.

Teachers inspire us to learn and to learn how to learn so that we can continue to improve and progress in life.

They open doors to a new world.

And show us different possibilities to a brighter future.

Without teachers, there will not be other jobs.

There will not be well-run companies, organizations, governments, and society.

If there are no teachers, the world will be a dimmer place. It may even grind to a halt.

Teachers are like diamond cutters.

They turn rough stones into faceted gems so that these gems can shine in their places in life.

They grind, cleave and cut these gems into square, oval, and other shapes to suit their characters, strengths and talents.

Then, they polish these gems so that they’ll be able to bring out the best from the gems, help them stand out from the crowd, and be of value to people and the environment.

Long after the diamond cutters have moved on, the gem can continue to play an important part in life.

Many people may not know or remember who are the cutters but they should be thankful to these cutters for their passions, efforts and contributions.

These diamond-cutting teachers help us shine and create a brighter future.
