Be The Present This Christmas

As we celebrate Christmas 2014, let us spare a thought for those who are in the pits of life.

Many people will go to bed in pain and sorrow this evening and many more evenings. Their children will be sick, hungry, and in tears.

Sadly, the world at large may not even know of their existence and needs.

As you reflect on their plight, please whisper a prayer for them. And do whatever you can to help them.

The Spirit behind Christmas is Selflessness. It’s about putting others before yourself.

It’s about love, joy, and peace.

If you can’t help somebody out there, please extend a hand to the person next to you.

A loving smile, a warm hug, a pat in the back…they may be small little steps but they do make a difference.

You may not change the world but you can change one person’s life today. It will add one more ripple to a tsunami of love to change the world.

This Christmas, give a gift of love. Give of yourself to the people around you.
