Being Honest

by Patrick Liew on June 27, 2011

I went to pitch for a project from a public-listed developer.

It is a well-known company and has the potential to be a major client.

The Manager showed me the development, a beautiful project in a prestigious location. She also shared with me the overall concept of the project.

When she asked me for my feedback, I told her that the concept will not be acceptable to the market. I am not confident of selling it successfully.

Many people would probably think I was foolish for being so brutally honest.

But, that’s the way I work. I hope my clients and friends appreciate it.

I believe integrity is first and last. It cannot be compromised.
