Capping Number Of Graduates.

by Patrick Liew on May 12, 2017

Leveraging on the educational system to support growth of the economy is not just about capping the number of graduates.

It’s also about providing quality education so as to help every Singaporean maximize his potential and contribution.

The focus is not about just about targeting number of graduates but also about executing the right plans and policies to create worthwhile jobs for Singaporeans.

The emphasis should not just be about having degrees but also about developing the capacity and capability to find and succeed in various desired jobs throughout a lifetime.

It’s not just about having good academic results but also about acquiring the ability to achieve success, address social injustice, and contribute to the economy and society.

We should also help our people develop joy for learning, passion for learning how to learn, and discipline to be self-directed learners throughout their lifetime. In doing so, they can better survive and succeed in the new economy.
