Controlling My Life

by Patrick Liew on June 16, 2011

My ex-colleague presented me with a gift of a tonic wine. He was thankful to me for helping him through many challenges.

As per instruction, I took a small glass of the wine after lunch and just before I sleep.

After awhile, when I went overseas, I realized I started to have cravings for it. Someone asked me, “Are you sure you have not become addicted to it?”

I have decided to stop taking it altogether.

This is my concern. Anything that I cannot control can control me. Anything that controls me can become my master.

A great master will help me to do well and good in life. A bad one will lead me down the slippery road to hell.

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

BTW, I have also recorded other reflections on my fb, under Notes. Please read them and continue to teach me.

Life is FUNtastic!
