A Message From A Mother

When you were a baby, I gave my all to look after you.
When I grow old, I hope you will spare some thoughts for me.

I did whatever I could with whatever I had to protect you.
I hope you will spend some time with me.

I was ever ready to meet your needs and ensure that you grow up properly.
I hope you will look after some of my inconvenient needs.

I put up with every squeal and squabble.
I hope you will put up with some of my grouses and griping.

I forgave you for your failures and foolishness.
I hope you will also forgive me for some of my fear and frailties.

I did not expect anything from you.
I hope you will not expect anything from me too.

I bore one of the worst possible pain to give you life and help you live it well.
I hope you will help me live the remaining years with meaning and dignity.

I made a lot of sacrifices and went through a lot of challenges because I love you.
I hope you will help me live the rest of my life gracefully.

I live my life to give you a good life.
I hope your children will do the same for you.

Go4It!

By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.
