I’m a “Bizaholic.”

by Patrick Liew on February 22, 2016

On 12 February 2016, I told the professor who taught me policy development that I’m a “bizaholic.”

In other words, I enjoy doing business.

If I don’t spent adequate time on my business, I don’t have a proper work-life balance.

Without work, my life is unbalanced.

Was it really Confucius who said, “Enjoy your work and you don’t have to work a single day for the rest of your life”?

Today is 初五, the fifth day of the Chinese New Year.

It is symbolically the last day of the Chinese New Year celebration and the beginning of a new working year.

I’m proud to share that I’ve been doing bits and pieces of work throughout the celebration. And I have officially started work yesterday.

My schedule today is absolutely exciting.

Meeting my team mates to plan a bootcamp for our students, launching a new line of business, sharing with a friend on how to take his company public, meeting our valued channel partners, working on a comprehensive marketing campaign, developing a regular gathering with senior citizens, initiating food delivery to the needy in a new area…

My friend, other than sleeping, you’re going to spend the most part of your life at work.

As I’ve always said:

Anything worth doing is worth doing with passion and excellence.

In other words, seek your purpose for living and prioritize your activities.

Love what you do and do it to the best of your abilities.

Go4It!

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.
