It’s Time To Future-Proof Yourself Against Disruptions.

While you cannot predict and prevent disruptions to jobs, there are five possible ways to future-proof yourself and achieve more stable, secure and sustainable results.

First, develop multiple intelligences because technology may not be able to fully replicate and leverage the complete spectrum of human intelligences.

These intelligences; including emotional intelligence, or a combination of various intelligences are needed to perform different tasks to achieve best results.

Secondly, learn to collaborate and co-create solutions with technology.

Study what technology cannot do, cannot do as well, or what they can do better with humans in your workplace and industry.

Thirdly, proactively identify niches and gaps that cannot be fulfilled or be adequately fulfilled by disruptive forces.

Learn to value-add on these niches and gaps and be a net contributor to them.

Fourthly, provide outstanding customer service.

Improve service level by integrating the best of technology and heart-warming services.

The “high tech and high touch” synergy will position you to stand out and stay ahead of the crowd.

Fifthly, capitalize on new opportunities.
Be mindful that for every task and operation that is being disrupted, new jobs and opportunities will be created.

The new opportunities that are being created as a result of disruption may have higher value-additions and are more lucrative and fulfilling.

Remember, if you travel on the same road, you’ll always reach the same destination.

Therefore, you need to find a better road or develop your own road to reach a more desirable destination in the disruptive future.
