Journey Into The Brain.

Journey Into The Brain.

Recently, I went on an interesting journey.

I went on a journey to explore landscapes of my brain and try and find out how it functions.

Along the way, I also conducted some mental experiments.

What a journey it was.

The brain is the most amazing gift from our Creator. How you use it is your gift to Him.

It is more complex than the most powerful computer and more sophisticated than the most advanced factory.

I also discovered something awesome about it.

The brain is neuroplastic.

Like water, the brain can be shaped in many ways and even in an instance.

Adapt itself and be improved to handle new situations and challenges.

Strange as it may seem, you make use of your brain in school but you hardly learn how it functions and how to make full use of it.

Yet, it is the control hub of every part of your being.

You are literally what your brain tell you.

Your perception of life is in reality the perception that your brain tells you about what it perceives about life.

The brain is the source of your emotions, thoughts, words and actions. It determines many of the outcomes in your life.

When the brain is not properly looked after and used, a host of sicknesses will most probably occur.

An unhealthy brain cannot help you live a healthy life.

The brain is one of the most complex and complicated systems in life and it can be controlled by you.

On the other hand, it can also control and confuse you, and condemn your future.

Sadly, the brain is oftentimes set on an autopilot mode, and you become absorbed by daily activities that are driven by it.

As a result, instead of managing your brain and activities, your brain and activities manage you.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the joke, The brain is a wonderful organ.

It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you try to impress the girl of your dream the first time. The same thing happens when you stand up to give your first speech in public.

It’s sad that most people complain about their looks more than about their brains.

Looks may not stop you from achieving what you want.

However, when something goes wrong in any part of the brain, things will go wrong in other parts of your being.

Eventually, those things will have a negative impact on your life.

That’s why you should do everything possible to protect and look after your brain.

Make full use of it and direct it in the right direction.

Protecting it does not just come from the skull. It comes mainly from you.

Let me share some random thoughts on how to nourish the brain and optimise its performance and results.

Like muscles, the brain can be strengthened when it is put to good use. The more you use it, the better it becomes.

Learning and subjecting your brain to and through positive challenges will also improve its efficacy.

When you input more comprehensive and diverse knowledge into your brain, it develops more capacity, ability and agility to join more dots in your mind. It will generate more radical and creative breakthroughs.

When you focus on a subject matter, it will strengthen your mastery of the subject It will also help you enhance your resilience to complete the tasks and manage your life.

The paradoxical truth is that the more effective you use your brain, the more brain cells you will develop. If you don’t, you might even decimate your brain cells.

The brain can be connected to other minds, influencing and being influenced by them to become a force for good or for evil.

Its capacity and capability will tend towards the average capacity and capability of the brains of the people you mix around with most of the time.

The brain can be plugged into a Higher Mind. It can tap on infinite wisdom and a limitless repository of knowledge to live at a higher plane of life.

How well you live your life has a greater impact on the well being of your brain than you can ever imagine.

It includes how well you think, talk, act, eat, breathe, and interact with others.

The way you live your life from a moral and ethical perspective will also have a direct impact on your mental and emotional conditions. It has a major influence on the health of your brain.

The brain takes in information from within itself and from the environment. You can choose how to interpret the information and use it or abuse it.

Every thought that passes through your brain causes a set of chemicals to be released in it. These chemicals can enhance or deteriorate your well being.

Positive thoughts will enhance the performance and longevity of your brain.

Conversely, negative thoughts that are allowed to linger on in your brain and to influence your life will cause its degradation.

It will also have a negative impact on the people around you.

In other words, your brain may not be you and you may not be your brain. It may not always be on your side.

The mental view of yourself may not be a true picture of yourself.

Similarly, the ‘GPS’ in your brain may not be the actual territory.

Think about it.

None of us think in the same way. You don’t even think in the same way at every point of your life.

So, how do you know that what you know is true?

How do you know you know?

How do you know you know that you know?

Think seriously about the way you think.

You cannot think negatively and live a positive life no matter how much you desire to have a positive life.

A good way to improve your emotional conditions is to use the brain to reach out to the people and environment around you, and value-add on them.

The brain can also be enhanced when you make time for adequate rest and recreation.

Having fun is a serious business when it comes to keeping your brain calm, clear and collected.

Optimize the brain’s working condition by exercising your body regularly.

The brain can also be improved through personal meditation, prayer, diaphragmatic breathing, and deep reflection.

If the brain is so important, shouldn’t you spend more time reflecting about it and using it to reflect positively about life?

Yes, it’s my brain asking itself the question.

Isn’t it interesting that the brain is the only thing smart enough to study itself?

The world around you is waiting for you to still your mind and be connected to the Higher Power.

When your mind is open, all it takes is one radical thought and you can change the world.

Life is a mind’s game.

If you play the game well, life will be good. If you play it poorly, it will be a long nightmare.

On the journey of life, you can lose many things but don’t ever lose your mind. If you lose your mind, you will lose everything.

The worst prison is the prison set up by the mind.

On the other hand, when you put the mind to good use, you will have a taste of paradise.

Do not just be a student or spectator of history. Use your mind and be a creator and collaborator in writing the pages of history.
