‘How To Be Rich And Wealthy’ Seminar – A Fund Raising Project For The Victims Of The Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda.
2 December 2013 (Monday), 7:00 - 11.00pm
This life-and-death project has taken on a life by itself. We are getting responses from many quarters.
It goes to prove that Singapore has a heart. There is soul in our country.
We have achieved the following:
1. We have received the first crossed cheque designated to ‘Mercy Relief Ltd’, with the words ‘Learnathon 2013’ written on the reverse side.
It is for a sum of $5000 from an anonymous donor.
May the Good Samaritan enjoys the choicest blessings in life.
2. Moonshi Mohsenruddin, founder of Commgate and Singapore’s future version of Bill Gates has come on board to drive the sales and marketing operation. As an award-winning entrepreneur, he brings to the team a vast array of talents, technology, and other resources.
Looking at the way he works makes me feel like a dinosaur from the Jurassic park. He told me, “I’ll reach out to 1,000,000 people with the message of saving lives.” Wow!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Moonshi! Up! Up! And Away!
3. Roger Koh, the big ‘Towkay’ of the iconic Chen Fu Ji, the best restaurant in town, our organizing Chairman has hit the ground running with a few absolutely ‘mad’ geniuses. The task force has taken the ‘storm’ by storm.
We are shaping up to be a great team. Like the Chinese would say, we will 惊天动地 (shake the heavens and move the earth).
4. Albert Lim, an IT specialist has offered to build a blog for our project.
5. Roderick Low who runs a PR and copywriting firm has volunteered to craft a press release.
6. We are in the process of cranking up an online registration and payment service.
7. Derrick, the boss of RPI has agreed to sponsor the printing of tickets for the seminar.
8. Ken Chee, one of our speakers has worked with his team to sponsor some exciting donations.
9. An EDM is being prepared. Then, we will rattle the Internet.
10. We have sent out a message to invite volunteers to join us in this life-changing project.
We need a few more good men and women.
