Living Moments (Part 2)

by Patrick Liew on October 13, 2011

I went with a friend for lunch at a restaurant that has made a name for itself, both locally and overseas.

When the waitress took our orders, my friend and I were staring at each other with disbelief. She hardly established any eye contact with us.

Later, I asked another waitress for direction to the toilet. Again, there was no eye contact.

At the end of the meal, I was asked to settle the bill at the cashier. I tried to start a small talk with the lady behind the point-of-sale machine.

Guess what? Just like the rest, she did not look at me while settling my bill.

In case you were wondering, I checked my face at the mirror. My friend also confirmed that everything was okay.

I felt like I had walked into a different world. Either that, or a strange disease had infected the people working in the restaurant.

Go4It!

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

By the way, I have also recorded other reflections.
