My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the UK’s Conservative Party and it’s members as they conduct their election to appoint a new leader.

I have never seen the UK in a more divided and polarized state, and facing so many conflicts and challenges.

I pray and hope that whoever wins the election, it’ll also be a win for the UK, and for its people and future.

I’m sure most of us who love the UK would share the following wishes.

To progress as a nation, I pray that the voters will not allow any views to divide their country and polarize their people and supporters.

They should talk to and not talk down at one another.

Debate over the message but not decimate the messenger.

They do not have to agree but they should not aggravate one another.

May their differences help them grow and not put them in a gridlock.

Strengthen their unity amidst diversity.

They may be different but that does not mean they should not be tolerant.

Be divided in their views but not divisive.

They may have uncommon ideologies but they should strengthen common spaces and ideals for a better life, and a better future.

They may not share the same desires but they share the same destiny as a human race.

They may not share the same worldview but they should respect – not retaliate; progress – not regress; be constructive – not destructive; forgive – not begrudge; heal – not harm; and love – not hate.

Together, as one people, they should help enhance peace and bring forth more peace-makers.

Forgive and forget any wrongdoing and press on to make the UK an exceptional country for for the best of their people and for the best future.
