Real Life Inspiration: The Man Who fought Death And Won.

Chan Tai Pang could have been given up for dead.

After all, he was in coma for a total of 37 days.

He was a victim of the terrorist bomb blast that occurred at J W Marriott, Jakarta, Indonesia on August 5 2003. He was about 10-15m away from the blast and could have died if a pillar had not blocked the worst impact.

While he was in coma, he suffered from severe and extensive burns and had lung infection and blood poisoning.

Another person would have given up hope and given up on life.

But not for this man.

Even after recovery, he had to undergo three skin graft surgeries.

He had to suffer intense pain that also affected his sleep.

Little by little, he not only recovered, he had to turn around his company which almost went belly up because he was the key decision maker.

In addition, the business had taken a major set back because of the SARS crisis.

Even during his recovery stage, he was planning on how to improve the company.

He rolled up his sleeves and turned the plan into a reality and as a result, the company became even bigger and stronger than before.

He said, “I now treasure my family and friends even more and live every moment to the fullest.”

May his life story cause a blast in our minds, a wake up call to rock the comfort of our daily routines and compel us to take our lives to a higher level.
