It’s Time To Be Grateful.
Happiness is a plan.
Like any plan, you must work on it to achieve desired outcomes.
The happiness plan is like a highway that is paved with gratitude and it has multiple lanes on it.
Every lane serves a purpose and all the lanes support and reinforces one another.
You can choose to travel in one lane or on multiple lanes to enhance your happiness and well-being.
Let me introduce these 6 lanes to you.
Lane 1: You can travel on the Lane of Choice.
Gratefulness happens by choice and not by chance.
It’s a matter of changes, and not merely a matter of conditions or circumstances.
Every day, you have to make a conscious choice to be grateful.
Do not wait for gratefulness to drop on you. Choose instead to live out gratefulness.
Seek gratefulness and there’s a lot to be grateful for.
Ignore gratefulness and you’ll miss out on many blessings in life.
The good news is that you can be grateful for any area of your life.
You can always find many blessings to be grateful for.
You can be grateful anywhere and at any time.
And be grateful for any person you meet and in an infinite number of ways.
You can literally be grateful on the go.
Lane 2: You can travel on the Lane of Journaling
Keep a record of everything you are grateful for in your life.
All the wonderful blessings in your life will then be further reinforced in your heart and mind.
It will also increase your level of happiness.
Lane 3: You can travel on the Lane of Reframing.
Everything happens for a purpose, meaning, and significance.
When something negative happens, look for the positives in it.
Transform it into a learning and growth experience.
The worst crisis can improve your character and make you a stronger and better person.
It can compel you to make something good out of your life and the lives of the people around you.
Lane 4: You can travel on the Lane of Relationship.
You can be happier when you are in a community of like-minded friends.
These are people who share the same principles, values, and aspirations to be grateful and happy.
When you share your happiness with them, your happiness will increase.
On the other hand, when you share your sorrow with them, your sorrow will decrease.
With such a support group, you can also do more wonderful things.
It makes life more meaningful, exciting and fulfilling.
Lane 5: You can travel on the Lane of Appreciation.
Be generous in showing your appreciation to others.
It will heighten your sense of gratefulness,
Saying “Thank You” is one of the simplest and best gifts that you can offer to others and yourself.
Do it through postcards, letters, emails, short messages, or through social media sites.
Express your gratefulness to them privately as well as publicly.
More importantly, do it sincerely, generously, and constantly.
Reflect on the thoughts and feelings of thankfulness.
As you do so, you’ll find a growing sense of happiness flowing in and through you.
Lane 6: You can travel on the Lane of Sharing.
You can make it a point to share with others about the beauty, wonders, and other blessings within and around you.
Talk about the good life with your family, friends and the others who cross your path.
Do it through different channels of communication, both online and offline.
When you express your gratitude regularly, it will heighten your sense of appreciation and thankfulness.
In turn, you’ll become more grateful and happier.
As you travel on the highway of happiness, work on being grateful and fill your life with gratitude.
Then gratitude will work on improving your happiness level.
Gratefulness becomes a platform for a journey of happiness.
