Living Simply

by Patrick Liew on June 15, 2011

Last week, I ran into a shop to buy a bottle of mineral water. I was really thirsty.

It was selling an imported brand of water. And the bottle looked really appealing.

I had a shock when the cashier, after swiping the barcode, told me “That will be $3.60.”

I wanted to reject the purchase because of the high price.

However, because of my thirst and the fact that there were no other shops nearby, I decided to give myself a treat.

Most of my friends know I’ve tried to simplify my life and to live simply for a long time.

As an old man, I want to share a message with the ‘Gen Y’ers.

For every 10 cents that you do not have to spend and you save and invest it, it will add up to a lot of money over time.

You can do wonderful things for the others with money.

I hope this message will find a place in your heart.

Life is FUNtastic!

Question: How can we live simply?
