Real Life Inspiration: Jumirah Bte Mesdy – A Shining Light

In her darkest moment, Jumirah saw the way to brighten the future for herself and her family.

It happened when she was so poor that she could not pay for the utility bills.

Her electrical supply was cut off, leaving the family to live in darkness at night and her children to study using candlelights.

She took up part-time work while looking after her children.

She did not burden them with worries about her financial problems but instead, encourage them to excel in their studies.

As the winner of the Outstanding Newcomer Award during the Mendaki Appreciation Tea in 2012, she is also an active volunteer and an inspiration to many people.

With determination, resilience and perseverance, she paved the way for her family to rise up to live life at a higher level.

Truly, a walking inspiration for us to model after.
