Reading can help you to not only find out about life. It can bring forth life.
It is like a ticket to board a special vehicle, a cheap way to go on an amazing journey. An exploratory trip of knowledge, event, and experience.
A trip to discover truths and realities and in doing so, help find your purpose and place under the sun.
The beauty of it is that you can go on the trip for as long and as intensive as you want. And do it from the comfort and security of your home.
Reading can show you who you are and who you should be. It teaches you how to live your life from the start to the end, from where you are right now to your final destination.
Reading transports you out of the world. It gives you freedom to roam the expanse of space, time, and history. Offers a helicopter and deeper view of almost every idea, concept, and emotion.
It helps you probe the smartest minds and learn from the wisest beings. Walk where they have walked and go where they have gone.
Learn from their failures and build on their successes. Live virtually through their life and use it to educate and enrich yourself and others.
Reading can make you laugh. It can also make you cry.
It can make you smile and then frown a short while later. It can bring you to the peak of emotions and pits of feelings.
Throughout the roller coaster of experience, you can enjoy a tapestry of rich sight, sound, smell, spice, and sensation.
For 2015, start to have a lifelong love affair with books.
Find time to read or you may up wasting more time because books can teach you how to make full use of your time and life.
They are like stars that help to navigate your life. They trigger ideas and stretch your imagination so that you can see more clearly on your journey.
The more you read, the more you can only learn. The more you learn, the more you’ll improve and achieve better results.
What oxygen is to life, words of wisdom are to your soul.
Read not only what you want to read, but also what you don’t feel like reading. Learn to love and enjoy the different genre of published words.
They are like bolts and nuts to help you build the structure and scaffold of life. Tools to help you respond to its complex and ever-changing phases.
Read a book thrice. First for the content, context, and composition.
Then, make it a point to reflect on and craft your thoughts about them. Think of how to apply them in your life.
Finally, make the words of wisdom come alive through your life.
In that sense, a good book continues forever. The final ‘chapter’ of the book is the chapter on how you have applied the lessons from it.
The true ‘ending’ of a book is what you have made out of life.
Reading is the basic building block to achieving success and having a great life.
You may not need to read so as to live but you certainly need to read to live a full life and live life to the fullest.
Like a good and open book, live your life wisely, transparently, and responsibly.
I look forward to “reading” your “book” and especially the final chapter and beautiful ending.
I hope this message will find a place in your heart.
